FCT FA LEAGUE DIVISION 2

...FHA FC STARTS WITH A WIN
The Federal Housing Authority Football Team (Federal Shelter), Wednesday, 2nd July, 2025 started their campaign in Division 2 of the FCT FA League with a 1 -0 win over the FC Abu, in a match played at the Area 3 Football pitch.
Federal Shelters did not wear the tag of debutants as they immediately took control of the game with a good display of soccer mastery. The team that dominated all the departments of the game needed a second-half goal from the sport in the second half to make their total dominance of the game count.
FC Abu needed to be defensively aggressive to deny the Shelter boys many other scoring chances.
Federal Shelters will be playing their second match on Friday, 4th July 2025, against PCC FC at the Old Parade Ground
The Federal Housing Authority made a foray into competitive sports when the Managing Director and Chief Executive, Hon. Oyetunde Ojo, approved the Authority's participation in the 2024 Federal Civil Service Games in Port Harcourt. The MD found it unacceptable that FHA has never participated in the games. He went on to say that he would restore the sports glory of the Federal Housing Authority, which has produced such great players like Jonathan Akpobarie, Ike Ekong, Sunday Olise, and Peter Konyegwachie, the first Nigerian Olympic silver medalist in boxing.
The MD consequently directed that FHA should be registered to participate in both this year's FCT League and the Challenge Cup.
