FCTA SYNERGISES WITH FHA
The Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) has pledged greater cooperation with the Federal Housing Authority (FHA), in resolving all issues that has hitherto hindered provision of houses to the resident of FCT.
This assurance was given by the FCT Minister, Mallam Mohammed Bello, when a delegation of FHA, led by the Managing Director/CE, Senator Gbenga Ashafa , paid him a courtesy visit.
The Minister, who commended the developmental strides of FHA in the FCT, citing such estates like Gwarinpa, Maitama, Kado, Lugbe, Kubwa and others, reiterated that the relationship between the two agencies has been long-standing and cordial. He went further to state that no amount of friction would strain it, but that greater cooperation would be achieved for the benefit of residents.
Earlier on, the Managing Director, Senator Gbenga Ashafa, thanked the Honourable Minister for receiving the delegation at the earliest notice. He stressed the resolve of his management to consolidate on the already existing partnership between the two agencies, towards delivering housing opportunities to the residents of FCT and Nigeria as a whole.
Senator Ashafa commended the Honourable Minister for the extensive infrastructure development FCT has witnessed under his leadership and stressed the intention of FHA under his management to expedite action on various sites and ongoing housing projects, in order to deliver on President Muhammadu Buhari's mandate to provide affordable housing opportunities to all Nigerians.
The MD was also appreciative of the Honourable Minister, for his buy-in and pledge, to cooperate with FHA in such areas as Issuance of Title to Land, Developmental Control, Restoration of Abuja Master plan and the need for continuous/incremental infrastructure development in Gwarinpa, such as N 11, N 16 roads, Lugbe and Apo Guzape.
In his remarks, the Executive Director Business Development, Honorable Abdulmumin Jibrin, thanked the Honorable Minister, and reassured him of FHA's determination to have a robust partnership with his Ministry, for the overall benefit of residents and Nigerians.
