FHA ORGANIZES A 3 DAY SEMINAR FOR STAFF AT THE NIGERIA INSTITUTE OF POLICY AND STRATEGIC STUDIES (NIPSS) PLATEAU STATE.
In furtherance of the Authority's continous policy of human capital development, which has remained at the core of Management's agenda, a 3-day seminar has been organized for management and staff of the Authority at the Nigeria Institute of Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS), Kuru, Plateau State.

The seminar themed: "National Governace And Development Initiative", was organized in partnership with the International Centre, University of Abuja, and China National Academy of Governance.
The programme which covered a variety of topics that have been described as a 'must' for everyone in "governance " both at the Government and private sectors whose daily actions and endeavors aggregate to contemporary happenings in Nigeria, drew comparisons from the Chinese experience that led to her exponential rise.

Some of the papers presented covered topics like: Salient Environmental Issues In Urban and Housing Development in Nigeria, Sustaining Positive Organizational Culture Using Emotional Intelligence, Existentialism and the Theoretical Foundation of Global Governance Initiative: Imperative For Reforms in Global Institutions, Mitigation and Adaptation to Climate Change Vulnerability in Urban Development In Nigeria.
The lead facilitator of the programme, Professor Ishaya S, commended the management of the Authority for the drastic change it has brought to the institution. He noted the positive presence and mention of FHA as compared to what used to be obtained in the past.

Prof. Ishaya was particular about the person of the Managing Director, Hon. Oyetunde Ojo, whom he noted uses and demonstrates Emotional Intelligence as a driving factor in his leadership style.
In a short remark, the MD/CEO reiterated Management's commitment to continuous staff training and human capacity enhancement in the Authority. He noted the inclusivity of all cadres of staff in trainings, a factor he described as essential for effective succession planning.

Before presenting the participants with certificates, the Director General of NIPSS, Professor Ayo Omotayo expressed profound commendation for management's transformation of FHA.

He also personally commended the MD/CE , whom he described as a leader who leads by example. Prof. Omotayo noted that effective leadership begins with everyone in their respective spaces, which collectively contributes to the desired national positive change.

He encouraged participants to effectively apply all they have been learned to move Nigeria forward.
