• Over the last two years, the Federal Housing Authority (FHA) has set up a central land and property register (CLPR) as well as commenced the digitalization of the records of its properties nationwide.

    The exercise which begin with the authority’s estates in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) has revealed a number of discrepancies in some of the properties under the following categories:

      1. Properties without up-to-date files
      2. Properties with non-payment of consent fees
      3. Properties with unverifiable property ownership
      4. Properties requiring End Users final documentation

    The FHA will begin the publication of the details of the affected properties in the Daily Trust and Guardian newspapers from Monday, november21, 2016.

    Allottees of properties in FHA in the FCT are by this notice advised to check the said newspapers to ascertain if their properties fall under any of the above listed categories.

    Those whose properties are affected under any of the categories are requested to come forward to the authority’s head office at 26 Julius Nyerere Crescent, Asokoro, Abuja within working hours to perfect their documentation not later than fourteen(14) days of the publications in the newspapers.

    At the expiration of the deadlines, the authority will be constrained to take further administrative actions, without notice, on properties whose owners fail avail themselves of this opportunity to perfect their documentation.
