GOING THE EXTRA MILE
FHA Rewards 35 Staff at 2026 Customer Service Week.
Federal Housing Authority wrapped up its 2026 Customer Service Week celebrations with high fanfare, honoring outstanding employees and reinforcing deep-seated operational reforms aimed at hitting premium service delivery across the country.
The week-long event, which ran from October 5th to 9th, highlighted various activities such as Sensitization Program- a walk around Asokoro to mark the occasion, followed by Customer Appreciation and Recognition Day, Games, Staff Appreciation Day, Cultural and Fashion Show.
The five-day program, organized by the SERVICOM Department, brought together all Directorates of the Authority to a well-tailored order of events that sought to foster unity and teamwork in the office environment. Officially declared open by the Managing Director Chief Executive Hon. Oyetunde Ojo (represented by the Executive Director of Estate Services, Arch. Ezekiel Nya-Etok), the week-long lineup blended professional sensitization with staff Recognition and community outreach.

This year's celebration anchored strictly on the global theme, 'Going the Extra Mile.' To demonstrate this commitment beyond boardroom directives, FHA staff commenced the week with an interactive sensitization walk through the streets of Asokoro, taking the message of exceptional public service directly into the local community. “Best service delivery is the cornerstone of the new Federal Housing Authority,” Hon. Ojo noted in his address.
He commended staff for their evolving dedication, noting that recent rigorous training and capacity building have translated visibly into optimum corporate performance.
A major highlight of the week unfolded during the Staff Appreciation and Recognition ceremony, where the FHA management formally rewarded 35 distinguished staff.

The General Manager SERVICOM & ACTU Mrs. Ebere Alalibo in her Speech emphasized that this year’s event was unique, focusing on “Going the Extra Mile” beyond the workplace and into the community, reminding us that great service goes beyond the ordinary. “Customer satisfaction is more than simply answering questions; it’s about listening, taking ownership and making an extra effort to help. At FHA, the Extra Mile is not just a theme; it’s a commitment to serving our customers better”. She said.
To the awardees, the Servicom GM encouraged them to keep the good work and strive to do better.

To those not recognized, she also encouraged them to work hard to be considered next year, using this as a pedestal to up their games.
These select individuals were recognized for showing exceptional competence, strict dedication, and going well beyond basic expectations to serve the public. The MD/CE pledged that the management team will maintain a sustainable framework to continually identify and celebrate unique individual performances. He further urged the entire workforce to fully align with the ongoing structural reforms driving the Authority's new trajectory.
