FEDERAL GOVERNMENT INAUGURATES BOARD OF FEDERAL HOUSING AUTHORITY

The Minister of Works and Housing, His Excellency Babatunde Raji Fashola (SAN), Thursday, July 8th, 2021, inaugurated the board of the Federal Housing Authority. The event which took place at the Conference hall of the Ministry had the Minster of state Engr. Abubakar D. Aliyu(FNSE), and the Permanent Secretary, Babangida Hussaauni in attendance. 

Inaugurating the board, the Minister thanked President Muhammadu Buhari for the quick approval of the new  board after the expiration of the former board. He noted that the President in his wisdom, gave the Authority a well constituted board, with some of the best professionals in the country.

He commended the immediate board for a good job and noted that with the right composition of the  current board, the re - positioning of FHA remains on the right track. 

The Honorable Minister therefore charged the new Board to remain focused in helping formulate policies and guiding the Authority in her mandate of providing houses to Nigerians.

The 11 man board saw the President retaining the Chairman, Senator Lawal Shuaibu, while the Permanent Secretary of state Ministry, and the Managing Director are members. 

The other members are: Modestus Umenzekwe, Mumini I Hanafi, Adamu Maina Dadi, Engr. Adamu Ismaila, Barr. Zubairu SN, Chinyere  Anokwuru, Yinka Ogunsulire, Veronica N. Shinnaan, Aleruchi Cookey- Gam and Olajumoke O.

From the Ministry, the new board proceeded to the Federal Housing Authority, for their inaugural meeting.
